By heat treating SCM440, the strength is increased compared to S45C. The J series (additional processing for mounting holes) can shorten the delivery time.

Prepare modules 1.5 to 5, with total lengths of 500 and 1000 mm. Prepare circular pitches of 5 and 10, with total lengths of 500 and 1000 mm. KHK standard racks have an R-shaped finish on the tooth tips for safety and to prevent scratches and dents. This R-shaped profile is patented by KHK and is applied to all products except for BSR and PR racks due to its noise-reducing effect. The "KRF hardened rack" is made from SCM440 material that has been hardened to enhance gear strength.
